|  |   What
            are Photo Environments? They are the places seen through the heart,
            mind, eyes and soul. They are the images that take you away from yourself--your
            fears, worries, the mundane, the pragmatic-- and make you feel that
            there is something bigger and better than yourself that exists in
            the world around you.

 These are the thoughts and
            feelings that photographer, Joan Yarfitz, tries to convey in her Photo
            Environments. She presents simple images that she has seen in her
            everyday world. She uses no trick photography; no darkroom manipulations;
            no in-camera machinations; no computer enhancements. She just presents
            a vision of the environments in which she has lived and viewed through
            the camera's lens.

 The colors of autumnal splendor;
            the minutiae of images seen in water; the bursting flora; the linear
            beauty of buildings and cityscapes; the vision of California's rich
            wine country; the faces of people she has met: all converge to create
            a uniquely seen world of color, joy and beauty, which the photographer
            invites you to share with her.

 The exuberance of the images
            say.. "Come join me in this moment. In this moment you will find
            the universal experience of Photo Environments."
